FOUR (4) ONLINE LESSONS These lessons will take place virtually over zoom and will be scheduled based on student/teacher availability between March 23rd-April 6th, 2020. When enrolled, you will receive an email from MPA to schedule lesson times. One-on-one half hour or hour private lessons working on the fundamentals of good singing. Students will work on proper breath, support, posture, correct tone, placement of sound, vocal range, vocal breaks, projection, endurance and vocal control. Private lessons help students gain skill and confidence as a solo singer. Whether you plan on singing in a musical, at church, in choir or star in your own YouTube channel lessons take your voice to the next level. For beginner, intermediate or advanced. ONLINE PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT - Sign up for up to 4 sessions! Wednesdays March 25th & April 1st (11:00am-12:00pm) Fridays March 27th & April 3rd (11:00am-12:00pm) This workshop will introduce students to the history of Hip-Hop culture with basic moves for the beginner dancer. The style encompasses the movements of break-dancing and body- popping with a concentration on footwork. The focus of this workshop is to build a solid foundation to execute popular dance moves to original choreography. Warm up includes isolations, hard- hitting exercises and a breakdown of the highly energetic routine to build stamina and increase musicality. Tuesdays March 24th & March 31st (11:00am-12:00pm) Thursdays March 26th & April 2nd (11:00am-12:00pm) This workshop is an introduction to dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions. Tuesday, March 24th & 31st (1pm-3pm) Thursday, March 26th & April 2nd (1pm-3pm) Mending and Alteration Basics - In this class, we will learn basic mending and alteration techniques to help make your clothes (and other items) last longer and fit better! Learn how to apply iron-on patches, sew buttons, taking in shirts, hand mending, among others. Supplies Needed: - Needles (These are my favorite pack) - Thread - Garments that need mending or alterations - Small piece of fabric for practicing techniques (can be scrap fabric, an old dish towel, or similar) - Button(s) with 4 holes - Iron-on patches (optional) $40 for workshop series |
