ACTING FUNDAMENTALS

Wednesdays || 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm || Ages 7-11

Our mainstage productions are for students with experience on stage who are ready for a full Broadway-level show. This includes focus and fortitude. During tech week students will be in rehearsal every evening through opening night.  To participate in this program, students must be enrolled in at least one weekly class at MPA. If a student is enrolled in 3 or more classes they have a guaranteed spot within the show, but will still be required to audition for what that role is. If a student is enrolled in only one class, they may not be cast in the production. (It's recommended that a student take a music, movement and acting class as their three classes.) Mainstage productions have a show fee of $350.00 which helps pay for the rights of the show and the Performance conditioning class that all mainstage students will enroll in for no extra charge. Parents of mainstage students are required to volunteer at least 8 hours during the production process.  There are buyout and ad sales options in place of volunteer hours. Mainstage has two shows per school year.
