We are grateful for our Veterans. Thank you Fort Vancouver National Trust for allowing MPA to participate as ambassadors at the special reception honoring America's Heroes. We look forward to it every year!
Families participating in the 2019 parade (Saturday November 9th)
Parades are a lot of hurry up and wait. Please be ready to hang out with MPA friends and have a flexible attitude and a fun morning!
MEET
10am at 9th and Reserve (parade leads will need to be there prior). We are group 105.
BRING
Candy, comfortable walking shoes.
WARDROBE
Check out costume from Miss Barbara by Friday, November 8th.
or wear MPA shirt!
Don't forget comfortable walking shoes.
PARADE
2 students carry banner. They set the pace for the group - need to be sure we don't lag too far behind, nor get too close to group in front of us.
Costumed students - stay 5-10 feet behind banner and wave to crowds.
MPA shirt students - pass out candy or flyers
Parents - help with candy, passing out flyers, making sure no children lag behind and group stays in formation.
PARENTS
Your help walking in the parade is much appreciated! If you aren't able to walk, consider parking towards the end of the route to watch the parade.
PICK UP
Corner of 12th and Broadway. We are at the end of the parade route and the parade begins at 11am. We anticipate we will be done at 12:30, but have no idea and will have to be flexible. The parade route has plenty of places to watch, so bring a chair and sit near the end of the route! The weather is calling for NO RAIN!
