About the Show

Theatrical readings inspired by the theme "Lost". Stop by on First Friday in October or November to catch performances running from 5 PM - 7 PM. MPA will be open to the public, donations are appreciated but not required.

Words, Words, Words recalls the philosophical adage that three monkeys typing into infinity will sooner or later produce Hamlet and asks: What would monkeys talk about at their typewriters? Sure Thing: Two people meet in a café and twist their way through a conversational minefield as an offstage bell interrupts their false starts, gaffes and faux pas on the way to falling in love. The Items Forgotten: A married couple, Kira and Travis, get locked out of their house on a very cold winter evening for the third time in a single week. As they hunt for a spare key on the porch, they begin to question both their state of mind and their relationship. Alfred and Lily and Their Marvelous Tank in the Forest: Alfred and Lily are evacuated from their local pond—supposedly for renovations—and placed inside a mysterious tank by unseen "benefactors". While Lily loves the new environment and trusts their handlers, Alfred notices horrifying signs: the water is drying up, neighboring creatures are disappearing, and things are not as idyllic as they seem.
